Who we are
The legal entity that operates Foor has not been confirmed yet. Until that name is published on this page, reach the operator at [email protected].
In this policy, “Foor,” “we,” and “us” mean that operator. “You” means a rider, a person using a kosher phone, or someone writing to us about a listing or partnership.
Short version
- You give us a pickup and a drop-off so we can show prices.
- If you allow it, we can use an approximate location to fill in the pickup. You can type an address instead.
- On a kosher phone, we use your phone number to handle the text or the call you asked for.
- We share trip details with a ride provider only when you choose to continue with that provider or we send you to them to book.
- We do not sell personal information.
- The business form on this website is not stored when email delivery is turned off. The page tells you that.
What we collect
We collect information you give us, information that comes from the phone or browser you use, and a small amount of technical data needed to run the service.
Trip details you enter
When you ask for a comparison, you give us a pickup and a drop-off. That can be a street address, a place name, or a description you type or say. We use it to request prices and to show the list.
Approximate location, if you allow it
If you turn on location permission, we use an approximate location to suggest a pickup. You can refuse that permission and type the place yourself. We do not ask for background location, and we do not follow your phone while you are not using Foor. You can turn the permission off in your phone’s settings.
Device and app information
When you use the app, we may receive the kind of device, the operating system, the app version, the language, and a diagnostic note if something fails. We use that to keep the app working and to fix problems. This marketing site does not use a third-party analytics tool.
Business form
If you write from the For businesses page, you give us your name, company, email, the kind of interest you chose, a message, and a phone number if you include one.
- Identifiers
- Name, email address, phone number, and company name.
- Trip information
- Pickup and drop-off you enter, and an approximate location if you permit it.
- Device data
- Device type, operating system, app version, language, and error diagnostics.
- Messages
- The text of a business inquiry, and the content of a text or voice request for a comparison.
Kosher phones, text, and voice
Foor was built first for kosher phones: basic or filtered phones that often cannot install a typical rideshare app. If you use Foor that way, we collect the phone number you use and the trip you send by text message or by voice. We use the number to receive your request and to send the comparison back.
The phone company that carries the text or the call handles that transmission under its own practices. We do not sell the number, and we do not send promotional texts. The number is for the comparison you asked for.
How we use it
- To show a price comparison and put the lowest price we have first.
- To pass a trip to a provider when you choose to continue with them.
- To answer a listing, feature, or partnership note.
- To keep the service reliable, to prevent abuse, and to fix errors.
- To meet a legal duty, such as responding to a lawful request or keeping a record we are required to keep.
We do not use your trips to build an advertising profile, and we do not use them to sell ads.
When we share it
We share personal information in these situations:
- A ride provider you choose. If you pick an option and continue, or we redirect you to that company to book, we share the trip details that provider needs to start the request. That is usually the pickup and drop-off, and a phone number if the provider requires one. What happens next is covered by that provider’s own policy. Uber, Lyft, and each local company are separate from Foor.
- An email vendor, only when mail is connected. Business notes can be sent through an email service such as Resend or MailChannels, acting for us, and only to deliver that message to our inbox. Until that service is connected, this website does not hand the form to anyone.
- Our host. This website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you load a page, Cloudflare processes connection data, including IP address, to deliver the site and to resist abuse. We do not use that data to advertise to you.
- Law and safety. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious harm.
- A successor. If the business is sold or combined with another, the buyer would receive the information it needs to keep operating, and would still be bound by this policy or one that gives you the same protections.
We do not sell personal information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not offer money or a discount in exchange for your information.
Cookies and this website
justfoor.com does not set advertising cookies and does not load third-party analytics. It does not run a tracker. Fonts are stored with the site, not fetched from another company while you read. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy before we do.
The host may use strictly necessary technical measures to serve pages and block abuse. Those are not used to follow you around the web for ads.
Children under 13
Foor is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the reason we collected it.
- Trip searches. Long enough to show the comparison, finish a handoff you started, keep the service reliable, and prevent abuse. We do not keep a marketing file of your trips to sell to others.
- Business form, when email is on. The message lives in our inbox. We keep the correspondence long enough to reply, to consider a listing or partnership, and for ordinary business records. Then we delete it.
- Business form, when email is off. The form checks the note and then discards it. It is not emailed and it is not saved. The page says so, and it gives you a link to email us yourself.
- Connection logs. Our host may keep short-lived technical logs to operate and protect the site, under its own schedule.
Security
We use HTTPS for this website and for the connection from the app. Access to business messages is limited to people who need them to respond. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Use a current phone and browser when you can.
For New York residents, we keep administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to meet the New York SHIELD Act’s requirements for protecting private information.
Your choices and rights
You can email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request” to ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct it.
- Delete it, unless we need to keep a piece for a legal reason or to finish something you already asked us to do.
- Give you a copy of what you sent us.
We may ask you to confirm that you control the email or phone number on the request. We aim to answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you. If we say no, reply to that email and we will look again. We will not treat you worse for asking.
Someone you authorize can write for you. We may ask for proof of that permission, and we may still ask you to confirm it is you.
California residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you specific rights. Those include the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising a right.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it as the law defines “share” for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because of that, there is no sale or share to opt out of. You can still email us and we will confirm that.
Sensitive personal information we may hold is a phone number, and precise location only if a device ever provides it. We use a phone number to carry out the comparison or the business note you sent. We use location, when you allow it, to suggest a pickup. We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics about you.
In the last 12 months, the categories we collect are the ones listed above: identifiers, trip and location information you provide, device data, and the contents of messages you send. We collect them from you and from the device or browser you use. We disclose trip details to a ride provider only when you choose to continue with that provider. We disclose a business note to an email vendor only when email delivery is turned on.
New York residents
If you live in New York, you can email us to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and we will respond as described above. We also maintain reasonable safeguards designed for the New York SHIELD Act. If a New York law gives you an additional right, you can exercise it by contacting us and we will honor it.
Foor was built first with riders in New York communities in mind, including Monsey and Brooklyn. The service is operated from the United States. If you use it from somewhere else, your information is processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. The date at the top is the one that applies. For the service, continued use after the new date means the updated policy applies to use after that date.
How to contact us
Email [email protected]. A postal address will be added here when the legal entity is confirmed. Until then, email is the way to reach the operator about privacy.
The terms of use explain that Foor is software, and that prices and rides come from independent providers.
